401(K) Retirement Savings Plan

• You can join on the next enrollment date after you are hired (Enrollment dates are Jan. 1, April 1, July 1, Oct. 1). ALSO, THE PLAN IS OPEN TO ALL EMPLOYEES, REGARDLESS OF FULL-OR PART-TIME STATUS.
• The vesting schedule is as follows: 1 year-0%, 2 years-50%, 3 years-100%. The vesting schedule applies to the company's match only. Please note that all monies you contribute are fully vested immediately.
• CTL matches $.30 on the $1.00 for the first 4% of your contribution to the 401(k) plan.

Why you should participate and how the
401(K) plan works

CTL's 401(k) retirement plan is a valuable benefit program offered to you as an employee. It can help you put money aside for a financially secure retirement. Through the plan, you can save for retirement now so that you can have the income you'll need after you stop working.

Participating in the 401(k) plan is easy. You contribute a portion of your pay to your plan account each pay period through convenient payroll deductions. CTL also makes contributions to your account. Contributions are then allocated to the plan's account options that you select.

Please note that the maximum contribution you can make in 2006 has been increased to $15,000 per year! If you will turn 50 years old or more in 2006, you are allowed a "catch-up" contribution up to $5,000, for a total of $20,000. You can now contribute from 1%-100% of your paycheck, as long as you do not exceed the $15,000 limit!

Participating in the plan provides you with tax benefits as well. Your qualifying contributions, employer contributions and all earnings on your account are not subject to current federal income tax (or, where applicable, state or local taxes) until you take them out of the plan. This tax deferral gives your retirement savings the opportunity to grow under very favorable terms.

After you join the plan, you will receive a comprehensive quarterly account statement. The statement shows your account balance, any contributions and earnings or losses credited to your account during the reporting period and recent performance of each of the plan's account options.

AccuServe Access, an automated voice-response system and AccuServe Online, an interactive an educational retirement planning internet site are also available to give you current information about your plan account.
