BBN Mission
- To support Abbott Inclusion and Leadership Development
initiatives with strategies and actions focused on increasing
the number of Blacks at Abbott and developing leadership
competencies at all levels.
- To focus on leadership development and mentorship as
primary vehicles to grow
Black leaders.
- To recommend ways to retain and attract Black talent.
- To build an informal networking system to support Blacks
at Abbott.
- To encourage Diversity and Inclusion at all levels.
- To identify and bring business opportunities in the
African American marketplace to Abbott.
- To effectively promote
and communicate Abbott’s
internal and external image as a “premier” employer
and a “great place to work” to the Black
employee population.
